Planning, promoting, and/or conducting programs, events, etc. commemorating and celebrating the 250th anniversary (2014-2033) of America’s struggle for independence.
Events commemorated include those of national significance, but even more importantly those which occurred locally (e.g. the Battle of Cane Creek).
Ideas for programs/events include, but are not limited to: student competitions, historical preservation, tours, battle commemorations, social media, speakers, and exhibitions.
