2026
The chapter recognized the winner of the Middle School Brochure Contest.
Morgan L.S. Polk, student at
West McDowell Middle School,
won 1st place at the chapter
level for her outstanding brochure about the Declaration of Independence. She received $50 and a certificate of appreciation.
Morgan went on to win 2nd place at the State level and an additional $150.

The chapter recognized the winner of the Elementary School Poster Contest.
Braedan Hanlon, student at Glenwood Elementary School in McDowell County won 1st place at the Chapter level. He received $50 and a certificate of appreciation.

2025
Harper Campbell won the George & Stella Knight Essay Contest. He won 1st place at the Chapter level, and 2nd place at the State level.
The Certificate of Appreciation -Teacher Chapter Award was presented to Amanda Campbell.

2024
Melanie Agreeda from Valdese Elementary School is this year’s Chapter winner of the Poster contest for her Paul Revere Poster.
Robert Patton IV (past president) presented cash and a certificate to Melanie and her teacher, Miss Kisha Chunn.

Kira Bobrovska from Liberty Middle School was this year’s CAESAR chapter Brochure contest winner for her “Bill of Rights” brochure.
Robert Patton IV presented cash and a certificate to Miss Kira and Dr. Anna Moose (principal) on behalf of Kira’s teacher, Ms. Heidi Galloway.

2023
Maggie Poteat from Heritage Middle School is this year’s Chapter winner of the Brochure Contest for her brochure about the Declaration of Independence.
The chapter also recognized Maggie’s teacher, Caleb Smith, for his support.

Megan Robinson from Glen Alpine Elementary School is this year’s Chapter winner of the Poster contest.
The Chapter also recognized Megan’s teacher, Ms. Jessica Revilla, for her support.

2022
Kyle Setzer won the George & Stella Knight Essay Contest. He won 1st place at the Chapter level and went on to win 1st place at the State level as well.
