Chapter President 2023 – 2025
It has been both an honor and a privilege to serve as President of the Col. Alexander Erwin Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, representing the communities of Burke, Caldwell, and McDowell Counties over the past two years.
Witnessing the growth in membership, community engagement, and participation has been deeply rewarding. Together, we continue to uphold the patriotic ideals that guide our mission: to preserve history, educate future generations, and promote patriotism while having fun along the way!
In 1790, our first President and Commander-in-Chief, George Washington, wrote, “The establishment of our new Government seemed to be the last great experiment for promoting human happiness by reasonable compact in civil society.”
As descendants of the courageous men and women who secured our liberty, we are uniquely positioned to honor their legacy. May our efforts today and tomorrow, reflect their enduring spirit, and may we remain steadfast in our duty to preserve the founding principles and ideals they fought for—ensuring that future generations never lose sight of the freedoms entrusted to us more than 250 years ago.
