4th of July Picnic at Fort Defiance

Fort Defiance in Lenoir, NC will host a traditional 4th of July celebration on July 4th, 2025. The event will include hamburgers and hot dogs, traditional music, tours of the historic home, and honors to the nation. There will also be a recitation of the Declaration of Independence and General Lenoir’s Independence Day Speech. Gates open at 10:00 am, and the program begins at 11:00 am.
