Color Guard is made up of compatriots who participate in SAR events in period clothing (military, militia, or civilian).
The Color Guard is one of the most visible and effective SAR public relations tools.
The main job of the Color Guard is to create an honor group that carries flags and muskets and presents colors. A musket is not required.

Some Color Guard members fire musket volleys when appropriate, for example at Patriot Grave Marking Ceremonies.

Assist in Patriot Grave Markings by locating graves, placing SAR grave markers, planning the ceremony, etc. (see Patriot Grave Marking Committee).
The Chapter provides its Color Guard for other groups in our community, e.g. DAR or Burke Historical Society.
Our Color Guard also works with other SAR chapters in their events.
